Historique de la Fete des Lumieres

So, here's part of a project I've been working on for local press project in the past coupla months; a summary of the events behind the Fête des Lumières, the December 8th festival of lights and thanksgiving to the Virgin Mary, in my current city of residence Lyon. Lyon is one of several French cities with a specifically Marian tradition, going back to the very early Christians.
