Artist's Comments

Sculpture class required we do a realistic study of an animal.
My original idea was to do a barn owl, for reasons rather obvious...
but I was in a 'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell' Raven King fangirlish mood.

This was pretty huge--something like twice life scale. I was rather happy with it, too--until this year sculpture class was hassle and frustration to me.
