I'd looked through this gallery before, and immensely enjoyed it. but I read OFUM in its entirety last night, and now I can barely keep from squealing out loud. Which would be bad, considering I'm in a library so quiet my typing sounds loud.

I feel so behind the times, but I read that entire thing, AND the sequel, in about a week a month or so ago.
I can't even express my love in words. It cannot be done.
But it inspired me to go and re-read the Silmarillion, after... 6 years or so. I could FEEL the waves of epicness washing over me. and I'm still on chapter 3.

try and find Philosopher@Large's script version of the Lay of Leithian when you're done. EPIC and incrediby relatable and well-though-out and deep retelling of the Luthién and Beren story and all the Elven kingdom politics that got tangled up therein.

that sounds amazing. I just need to finish the Silmarillion first. gah. it's such slow reading. I'm used to being able to read a book in a week at most, but this has been nearly a month. stupid college getting in the way.
