Poor Raoul. I sympathize with him almost whole-heartedly. At this point in the story, he really needs to get a clue about some things (like how not to be completely annoyingly snobby towards most of the rest of the planet's population), but is right to worry for Christine's safety, given that she's omitted telling him key facts.
Ultimately, I'm C/R for PotO, but am very very very glad that the story continues well past this point! (I'm very glad, in fact, to see what Raoul's been up to lately. Useful, productive, and vaguely adventurous.)
1) There's enough Sarah-ness just hanging around
1.5) Since Sarah is the 'babe with the powah' she continuously leaks power and therefore the apartment has absorbed enough to make any wishes within work.
2) Jareth feels the need to help Christine for a chance with Sarah.
3) Jareth just grants every wish without noticing anymore. 'S probably why he's got so many subjects.
I think I'm gonna go with option #2...
