Aka, Episode one-hundred-and-forty-f*ck in the Roommate Wars between Goblin King and Opera Ghost, which their neighbours know well enough by now to steer clear of 'til the glitter settles.

Seriously. Last time one of these prank wars/cycles of excessive and ever-escalating retribution for a perceived slight/expressions of intolerable exasperation with their roommate's very existence happened, Christine dipped into her joint account with Raoul and took Sarah and Liz down to Hawaii for a lovely relaxing spa and beach weekend away from the bumps and the screeches and the madness and the boys never even noticed they were gone.

When you factor in things like Jareth's squid-like natural defense of dissimulating his escape with a cloud of glitter, Erik's ingenuity in designing deathtraps, the resilience and general expendability of goblin minions, highstrung artistic nerves... gravity-disabling powers.... history of violent psychotic issues... cabin fever... presence in the appartment of cherished and expensive and very vulnerable musical organs.... long-standing familiarity with the other's touchy issues... yeah, it's batten down the hatches and get out of the way of the storm time.

In other words, to quote Christine from last week, things are back to semi-normal 'round here. Legolas, this is what happens when you're busy off canoodling with Cheryl and neglect your job.

... And after Prince of Darkness/Jadis sexxytimes, please welcome the new mental image of Jareth performing naked yoga in the front room. :D

craps me up every time
I don't know why Erik is so bothered though. They have the same stuff.
1.) I love that couple.

2.) I think she was teasing you Erik.

3.) Hilarity ensues!!! I kinda want to see the blood bath.

I strangely ship Jadis/Prince of their kingdoms join together too, or is it an unofficial affair?

Hmm. I suppose they've both been given the grand tour of the other's pad, but no, no official marriage/alliance/evil merger. Yet? Writing up the prenup should take them a while though...

I think it would be kinda funny if there was a wedding arc and Jareth and Sarah had to come for fear of offending those two (who are probably just looking for a reason to get offended and make Jareth's life miserable). Although it would be a stretch as to why Sarah comes....I guess Jadis thought it would be fun to have her son's conquerer-ish around.

Excuse my rambling. :)

I still have Jadis and Big D in my narrative toolbox, they may cause havoc yet. :)

I was sure the naked yoga thing had come up in one of the earlier episodes (after all, it seemed a not improbable habit for a gravity-defying exhibitionist), and was wondering why everyone was getting so excited about it.

I finally tracked the reference back down to… ("Yes, I had seen some weird, twisted pile of naked flesh on the living-room carpet...") which of course was written shortly *after* this episode; I just happened to come across it back when I was reading much older stuff. And as I said, it seemed so entirely in character that I hadn't turned a hair at it at the time :D
