Aaaaaand Mystery Character from GND#157 is none other than the original Arsène Lupin - a contempory French literary character to our Phantom cast. Yes, I get dozens of requests for Doctor Who and Supernatural and Jack Sparrow and what have you, and instead I'm adding a character half of you have probably never heard of. That's how I roll.
(The only person to come close was probably who'd suggested Edmond Dantès. Monte-Christo and Haydée may yet show up while we're in Paris... )
Yes, I'll be explaining what Christine's grudge against the guy is about.
French: Arsène's first lines are basically "long time no see", with excessive smarminess. "Tu fais quoi là?" - I'll translate that one as: "Dude. What the hell."

This is a work of fanart and solely intended for shits and giggles. Not mine, not making money from it.
Christine, Raoul and Erik (c) Leroux and Webber
but actually in the public domain by now, the novel at least
Arsène Lupin is a creation of Maurice Leblanc, here somewhat inspired by Romain Duris in the 2004 movie.
LOVING how I can now appreciate more things in and related to the current eps / arcs. In this arc, we have:
Erik Levelling up past Jareth, which later qualifies him to be Jareth's Sponsor in "Villains Anonymous" (c.f. "Brink") Raoul displaying Perception, a Spine, and Just a Hint of Lack of Gullibleness (all much welcomed!) which continues when he confronts Christine and Erik (c.f. "Red" and "Doubling Up and Doubling Down" through "Blind Spot")
Plus more that I'm sure I'll notice / point out to the author & artist, who already knows it.
/hoping that my re-reading comments provide amusement to all who stumble across them.
Thank you for the intro to Arsène Lupin! Thanks to this comic, I'm now on the 11th book in the series, working my way through... and it's *amazing*! And now coming back through on a re-read, I got to fangirl him as well this time ^.^

All your crossovers make me a happy happy fangirl.
