For those who like to imagine behind-the-scenes shenanigans, and enjoy a tight sense of causality, it's entirely possible that the boys overheard last week's chitchat between Chris and Sarah, and Jareth was probably a little bit stung and envious of the ultimately trusting rapport between Christine and Erik... and decided to stir the pot, just for the evulz.

suggested to me some time ago that the Goblin King would definitely be a fan of Takeshi's Castle ( this [link] sort of thing). I totally agree.


This was another last-minute inspiration episode - the current situation is quite the goldmine for just letting the characters play themselves out...
