Of course, Sarah and Sophie's dicussion may well have moved into more serious grounds regarding the actual comparability of being courted by a wizard and a Fae-something, and Sarah's actual worries and reluctances in the matter... but that discussion, we are not privy to (also, what a drag to write and draw the whole thing out.).
And I really couldn't give you a straight chronology of Sarah's life since the movie's release in 1986, only that this her second session in college - she did an English major the first time round. (also, seriously, Twilight, college is way more fun a place to be stuck with as an eternal repeat than frikkin'
high school....) To have 1986-2011 subjectively last only 4 years is a pretty weird experience. (Also, that probably means she's due a birthday in-comic. Bogdamnit. Are you guys really keeping track of this stuff??)
Christine is out this afternoon, as Erik invited her to meet and have tea with his new colleague, an eminently charming man of wealth and taste, Dr Lecter. They spent a postively delightful afternoon downtown discussing fine wine, Bach vs. the Neo-Classics, and the architectural delights of Italy vs. France... and Christine would have had an absolutely splendid and classy time overall were it not for that one awkward moment when the conversation turned from the best piano makers to whether piano wire was preferable to
hemp catgut for a quick garroting and both gentlemen got a
tiny bit excited, before apologizing profusely to her and each other, and turning their conversation back to Debussy.

That took me a minute to recognize.
re-reading the series in light of current eps is very very fun! It seems as though Sarah is now, finally, taking steps (or A Single Step) to possibly allow her to make a decision about handling the Stories that surround her. Better late than never?
You're right in that Sarah is not digging her heels in with the NYET NOPE NO WAY as much as she would've earlier with this whole 'back to Labyrinth' romp. She is totally giving the Story/Jareth half a sliver of a chance.
