Or to quote Rotti Largo, "Happiness is not a warm scalpel..."
Apologies for the slight tardiness. Anyway, here's a little E/C fluff to somewhat compensate for JS winning the poll and stealing all the Moments that are to be had 'round this set-up...
Depending on whether you die-hard ship 'em or are satisfied with them as close friends (with a few elephants in the room and skeletons in the closet, admittedly), you can read that 3rd-to-last little shot of Snuggled!Erk either as the lovesick Dogged Nice Guy who has just gotten gaily yet utterly shunted into the Speshul Friend zone just as the perfect conversation was starting, and is this close to wibbling - or a formerly miserable misanthrope suddenly realizing he HASN't alienated one of the few people who really care about him and feeling all D'AAW. Or a bit of both.
Conversation was originally going to be a bit more emo, what with Erik's desire to teach vs his various social handicaps, but since *AsheRhyder has established he is teaching music at whatever faculty down the road the girls go to, I am quite happy with that. Kids may be cruel, and he probably has to put up with a lot of curious stares, but I daresay in this day and age Erik wouldn't exactly be shunned and drummed out of town as a freak.
Oh, and I don't watch nor give two hoots about the actual American Idol show, okay? Or Glee, if that's what you'd like to mentally substitute.

THEY ALL DESERVE TO DIE! My attitude next time my friends put up a reality competition show like AI. (I despise reality TV) that being said, this comic makes me prefer Christine and Erik more as just friends than ...what they were before ^^
Totally a "little" thing, but I LOVE (1) that you do shadows, and (2) HOW you do shadows! I am just about the furthest thing from being a visual artist as you can imagine. However, I like seeing drawn pictures that make me think they could be photographs of real life, and you totally did that with the shadows in this one. Especially in the first two panels (I'm looking at the shadow of Erik's elbow in panel 2, and Christine's hair in panel 1).
I am sitting outside my apartment building because it has way better internet connection than it does outside (I know, wierd, huh?) I was laughing out loud when I read this and a neighbor came by and gave me a wierd look and said skeptically, Have a good night.

The last panel really made the laugh, and the ones before were just... D'AWW... <3
Guilty pleasures, hehe
