I really enjoy the shifting facial expressions in this one.
Sarah
Panel 3 - a definite glare at the intruder. A hostess staring down a more-than-un-welcome party crasher
Panel 4 - Make the best of the moment, and get in a little snerking of her own
Panel 5 - slightly straighter art as she reveals to Jareth that she's capable of handling things on her own, with him losing out.
Panel 6 - D'oh! "Why does Luna have to comment scientifically right this moment?! I am NOT going to blush about this. I'm not. I'm not!"
Panel 8 - Ta-da!!!
Jareth
Panel 3 - A touch of panic mingled in w/ curiosity and annoyance at that sound. I think he's still recovering from the (to him) mixed messages & emotions from the rooftop arc.
Panel 4 - His long face, trying for neutral & give-nothing-away-especially-do-not-indicate-that-he-doesn't-already-understand-it
Panel 6 - Smug / pleased-with-self. Any attention from Sarah is good attention, and if she describes him in such a manner it's definitely favorable!
Panel 7 - Implications are allowed to begin to dawn. I love the incredulity on his face. And is that a touch of "do not defy me" I spy?
Panel 8 - Ho, snap! Temporarily out-done, he will, very briefly, have begun to regroup.

Each objection that Sarah has is seen as a challenge for him to overcome, rather than something to be discussed and resolved. In fact, it's a game for him to win, with Sarah as the opponent AND the prize. While the moments of
Which is a long way to say that Jareth doesn't see the girls' actions in this as any kind of rebuke.
