So Alyssa has been out a week now, and seems to be getting decent reviews. Although bloggers in the ''parents of high-I.Q./otherwise non-neurotypical kids'' online community seem quite divided between those who appreciate it (and whose kids loved it) and those who dislike it as a poor stereotype-reliant caricature and Not Funny. Interesting times.

I have been enjoying the story so far that I have found in english.
I do want to learn french though... always thought it was a sexy language. XD
I just keep loving this the more I read it.
Poor Alyssa, always getting into these situations with very little intentions towards them
Ugh I hate it when people accuse artists of relying on stereotypes when you're really just creating a character who might have some stereotypical traits. I mean, High IQ is a way of classifying a person, obviously there is criteria a person must meet to be a High IQ person!
Anyway, from what I've seen I love it, and have my fingers crossed that it will be translated and available soon
Also I wasn't into comics/graphic novels yet...
Side note: Quentin is, in fact, TOTALLY HOT and two centuries of feminist struggles can't defeat the evolutionary need to feel protected by a male. (I may have been a gifted kid, but that never stopped me from crushing hard on whichever cute guy graced me with a smile. It's possible to be smart and boy-crazy. Just not at the same moment.)
Ah, well. xD
So adorable. ♥ Thank you so much for posting up these translated snippets! Quentin is precious. xD
But for now, I can 'totes' enjoy it through here. This is awesome.
